These works have been approved by Basingstoke & Deane Council, Natural England, and the Environment Agency with professional advice and hands-on assistance from Wessex Rivers Trust and the Wild Trout Trust. Students from Sparsholt College will also be on site.
Temporary barriers have been placed at both ends of the footpath, with copies of the formal Highways Agency closure notice as well as an article first published in the October issue of the Parish magazine and town website that outlines the works to be carried out.
Thank you for your patience while the riverbank restoration is undertaken.
The work is expected to take 7 – 10 days.
