Message received from the Festival Committee:

Tonight’s Fireworks and Bonfire on the Millennium Meadow have been postponed.

Unfortunately there are treacherous conditions underfoot following the heavy rain throughout the week, and there are also high winds forecast for this evening.

Apologies are given by the Festival Committee for any inconvenience caused, but it is intended to hold the event at a later date.

!!!! Bonfire & Halloween Event postponed due to High Winds and Bad Weather !!!!

    Saturday, October 26th 2013

    Dear All,

Due to predicted high winds and bad weather we have had to postpone tonight’s Bonfire and Firework display.

It is not a decision that has been taken lightly and we are all extremely disappointed but safety is paramount at any event and, after careful consideration, it has been decided it is in everyone’s best interest to postpone the event until a later date.

We have a suggested date in mind and are currently in the process of confirming this with the venue and our suppliers.

Thank you all for your understanding.

    Regards,
    Rob

Hello Rob, so sorry to read this as you and the Committee have put so much hard work into organising this wonderful event but it is the right decision and from a selfish view point, I will be back for the rearraned event and able to attend!

Very disappointing for you all but we cannot control the weather.
