A broadband availability checker website is showing an availability date in the past for some residents.

A formal status update on the roll-out of the faster broadband technology using Fibre to the Cabinet, FTTC,  is expected shortly from BT OpenReach; However some readers of this website have been in touch earlier this week to say the broadband availability checker at the SamKnows website shows a further delay.

People have reported that the website shows a date at the end of June; While others see a date in the past: the start of March. An attempt today to place an order for the BT Infinity product was unsuccessful.

In light of these queries, BT provided this statement:-

The rollout is staggered and so people will be able to order at different times.
The latest information we have from our colleagues in Openreach is that the cabinets on London Street and Winchester Road are expected to go live mid-April.
The cabinets on Church Street and Fairfield are stood and we hope will be live by the beginning of May.
Cabinets on Andover Rd, Freefolk Priors and Litchfield Road involve network rearrangement and are due to go live at the end of June.
These dates are not set in stone but I hope this helps?

Orders for faster broadband from BT can not yet be placed.

Once the formal status update is released, its information will be published here.
