Town Mayor Cllr Barry Jackman, PCSO Wendy Eaglestone and Mayoress Sandra Jackman.

Whitchurch has sadly had to say its fond farewells to popular PCSO Wendy Eaglestone who has taken a position in Basingstoke. The Town Mayor, Cllr Barry Jackman and his wife Sandra presented Wendy with a card and a bouquet of flowers from the people of Whitchurch.

Cllr Jackman said…

“It is with a certain sadness that we said our farewells to PCSO Wendy Eaglestone. Wendy had been a familiar face around town for some considerable time. She was always approachable and got on well with all ages in our community. We wish her well as she leaves us for a job still within the police force but at Basingstoke.”

When asked, Wendy said:

“I am looking forward to my new position and will start my training right away”.

She went onto add:

“I have enjoyed my time at Whitchurch and will have fond memories of folk here and will miss the contacts I have made, I feel I have made many friends in Whitchurch.”

Barry added that he hopes and trusts that Whitchurch will be getting a replacement for Wendy, but as yet there is no information as to whether or not this will happen.
