Hundreds of visitors have visited the 2013 edition of Potato Days at Testbourne, which coincides with National Potato Day.

About 50 people packed into the school’s dining hall on Saturday morning to listen to Chris Bird of Sparsholt College, who shared many tips on how to grow and care for potatoes. Talks also take place on Sunday.

Meanwhile, in Testbourne Sports Hall, many more people browsed the stalls to pick up seeds, gardening tools and to learn about various organisations like the National Vegetable Society – and that was just a taste of things on offer!

Half of the hall is given over to crate after crate of potato varieties – all of which can be bought on the spot.

Upstairs, there is a break room with a ‘pop-up’ H’s Coffee Shop and a children’s craft area hosted by FOWPS.

The event continues Sunday between 10am and 3pm at Testbourne Sports Hall. Admission is £2 per adult. Further info is on HERE.
