Whitchurch, which is part of the North West Hampshire Constituency has retained Sir George Young Bt as its representative in Parliament. Sir George, also known as the bicycling baronet, has been MP for the area since 1997 and was recently elected Shadow Leader of the House of Commons.

A popular figure, he is often seen around local events, most recently at the Festival Maypole events on the Meadow last week and at the recent Earth Hour events in the Gill Nethercott Centre.

He has our congratulations in holding on to his seat.
