Screenshot 2018-10-31 at 21.03.24The Red House Inn in London Street, Whitchurch, has closed for business and is up for sale. A group of Whitchurch residents is getting together to see if there is an appetite in the town for the community to buy and run the pub, which is a Grade II listed building.

There are various ways we could do this. In the UK there are around 125 community-owned pubs either running or being set up. Around 75 are set up as a Benefit Society, 20 as a Community Interest Company, 25 as a Private Limited Company, and five or so run by parish councils.

The Red House Community Group has put together a short questionnaire overleaf to find out what you think. Is the Red House worth saving, and if so would you like to get involved in some way?

Please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire online at rednotdeadhouse.co.uk, on Facebook (search for Red not Dead House) and via Twitter (@RedNotDeadHouse).
