There much activity down at the Whitchurch Library with a number of activities now being held, as the Library is keen to encourage increased community use. Despite the proposed cuts, Whitchurch Library is lucky to have such a dedicated staff committed to providing the town with an excellent service, that is not just ‘lending out books’.
Bouncing and rhymes!
A new ongoing event is the ‘Baby Bounce and Rhymetime’ on every Wednesday afternoon from 2.30pm to 3.00pm, including during school holidays. This consists of singing and rhymes for babies under two and their carers, and is free of charge.
Christmas crafts and stories
On Wednesday 21st at 6pm there is a Christmas Craft and storytime for children up to 11 years of age. This great fun activity is just £1.00 per child and tickets are available from the Library now.
And Scrabble is coming too
The library will be starting a weekly Scrabble Club in the New Year.
If you enjoy playing for fun please leave your details at the library – club times will be arranged to suit.
Meanwhile remember that consultation on the proposed new hours is still underway and comments can still be made either at the Library or online.
