Each year, Whitchurch Town Council administers a Community Awards scheme, which gives recognition to those people who have achieved or inspired others in the course of their activities.
The next Annual Community Awards Presentations will be part of a special day – Saturday 2nd March. This will also include an opportunity for local organisations to promote activities and amenities, with a ‘Welcome to Whitchurch theme’. It will also incorporate the Annual Town Assembly, the Town Council’s official annual report to the community.
Other activities are also planned.
WHO SHOULD RECEIVE THE AWARDS?
SIX Awards are made each year, plus one Youth Award.
Nominations for the Awards can now be made and should be sent to the Town Hall (contact details below). Reasons for the nomination (100–200 words) should be provided to enable the selection panel to make their decisions. Your nomination will be acknowledged, but the names of those selected to receive the Award will not be released until the Award Ceremony which will be at the beginning of March.
All nominations must be received by the Town Council by Friday 8th February.
