Champagne corks popped this week – albeit virtual ones flying into cyberspace – as Whitchurch Forums hit a milestone in its growing success as a local communication facility.
This week the Forums gained their 100th member.
As a moderated outlet where fair and polite debate rules, the Forums provide a free information and communication amenity for the whole town.
While in-depth discussion switches between the proposed housing developments to the railway car park, others may be chatting about kamikaze insects or trying to find long lost friends. If you want to sell something, ask advice or simply enjoy an online chinwag, then this is the place to do it.
The Forums are now just over one year old and have already received nearly 3000 postings covering 600 topics.
They can be visited at www.whitchurchforums.org.uk
