In tonight’s Hampshire Senior Cup tie against Hythe and Dibden, Whitchurch Utd returned to winning ways, when the ball hit the back of their opponents net four times.

Hythe and Dibden 0 – Whitchurch Utd 4

Whitchurch were wanting to put their recent losses in the FA Cup and the FA Vase behind them. Hythe and Dibden, although a division below the Jam boys in the Wessex League were not to be under-estimated, but Whitchurch’s depth showed through and they came home worthy victors.

Whitchurch now go on to play Eastleigh in the next round, for yet another cup tie at an away ground.

Next game
The next match for United is also away; a Wessex Sydenhams Premier Division game against Wiltshire side Bemerton Heath Harlequins on Saturday 14th September.
The Harlequins are presently 2nd in the League but have played more games than other competitors.
