A crackdown on rural crime, such as burglary from sheds and garages is presently running across the area.

The Safer North Hampshire community safety team is focusing on reducing rural crime, shed and garage burglaries, and thefts from motor vehicles and farm equipment during the initiative called Operation: Stronghold.


Police and Council officers are running a series of information stalls where they are providing crime reduction advice, as well as crime prevention materials including padlocks and shed alarms at a series of road shows.

In Whitchurch:
They are visiting Whitchurch on Wednesday 30th October, when they will be at the Gill Nethercott Centre from 10.30am to 12noon.

    Great idea…..but how many people can attend on a Wednesday morning? Most people will be at work. Any chance to arrange for an evening?
