The Creative Café visits Whitchurch this Thursday when they meet at Whitchurch Silk Mill on the River Test. Members of Whitchurch Arts have been participating in the Creative Cafe events since it started last year.

This month renowned contemporary textile artist Alice Kettle will be giving an insight into her unique work. Her distinctive designs which are executed with fine multi-layered lines of thread have won her prestigious commissions which include: the Scottish High Court in Edinburgh, National Library of Australia, Gloucester Cathedral, School of Music and Drama at Manchester University, Winchester Cathedral and the Discovery Centre in Winchester.

Stephen Bryers, who manages the Mill, kindly invites attendees to bring a picnic and unwind on the grounds before making your way for the evening’s presentation inside the mill.

Doors open at 6:30pm for 7:00pm start with drinks and nibbles to welcome you. Don’t forget to bring information on any of your projects, events or other news of interest to share with others.

This event is sponsored by Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council and University of Winchester.
