The Whitchurch Huddle.

In what some billed as a revenge match for the visitors, Brockenhurst came to Whitchurch only to once again leave in disappointment.

Whitchurch Utd 2 – Brockenhurst 0

The last time these two teams met at Longmeadow, was when Whitchurch knocked Brockenhurst out of the FA Cup.
But today, in what was an entertaining game, the local home side put two goals into the net, with both Paul Coventry and Luke Walker getting their names on to the score sheet.

The Whitchurch team are now moving up the Wessex league table and with games in hand will be looking for a good end-of-season placing; it will be deserved. The in-form Jam Boys have not lost in their last six league games – they look confident and are playing much tighter football than many of the opposition.

The next game is also at home, when Ringwood Town visit the Longmeadow ground on Tuesday (31st January).

Kick off is at 7.45pm

We turned up late due to another appointment, but how fortunate we were to see both well earned goals, well done lads.
Sandra and I have really enjoyed the games and the welcome we receive whilst supporting the team both home and away (still don’t understand the off side rules though).
See you all Tuesday evening – why don’t you come along and enjoy supporting your local club too?
