Its just a few days now and Christmas in Whitchurch will see some of the best seasonal celebrations for many years as the lights are switched on outside the Town Hall on Thursday at 6pm.
It is expected that trees and lights will now be going up in time for the great evening and we understand these will be better than ever.

Don’t miss out – make sure you get there on time! Peter Pan Panto star Ben-Ryan Davies who also plays Ronan Burley in BBC’s Waterloo Road, will be joining our own Town Mayor Cllr Barry Jackman in the celebrations. Music and singing will accompany the gathering.

Find the Mice

The shops are now all geared up for the Fairtytale Competition – the scrolls will be unveiled as the lights go on – entry forms are available from the shops. Then start the hunt for the White Mice. Around the shops you will also find attractions such as Santas Grotto, face painting and various attractions. Rosie’s has its gifts out, Kingsleys are getting the grotto ready, Clacy’s has a wonderful window display, there are offers on shoes at Pauline Forsters, holly decorations are ready at Flower Power – these are just a few of the many shops and businesses participating.
