The Whitchurch Welfare Trust has extended its content on this website with information on both the excellent support it provides to the community and also on it’s long intriguing history stretching back into the 17th century.
The Trust carries out a terrific amount of good work in the town, ranging from education grants to providing gifts for the elderly at Christmas. In 2010 they distributed £5110 as reported HERE.

The Trust now has it’s own domain name which directs users straight to its own area on this site and they also have their own dedicated email address.

This simple step will allow the Trust to make its activities more widely available, as well as giving a more up-to-date visible image.

Others can now do the same…
If any other local groups, businesses, or individuals wish to have a similar simple internet presence with minimal outlay (just a few pounds to register the domain name) please make contact through and the various options can be run through.

Control your own content
In addition any users can also have access to their own page so they can make alterations themselves without the need to involve others.
This is believed to be unique to community sites in the area.

Accountable to Whitchurch
Remember also that the website is supported by Whitchurch Town Council, Basingstoke & Deane, and Hampshire County Council, and is fully accountable to the local community through the charity, the Whitchurch Association (Registered Charity No. 1118993).
This means everyone can be assured of the integrity and ‘official’ status of the site, together with the advantage of guaranteed longevity.
