Throughout Whitchurch there are many many people carrying out good work, often raising much needed funds for charities and special causes. Most of these go unmentioned and indeed are rarely heard about, so if anyone knows of any special charity work or fund raising that deserves recognition please let us know and the town website will do all it can to help.
Just drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
Meanwhile the next three days sees three local charity events taking place that are worthy of special mention.
Cycle Ride to Ben Nevis and back for a Youth Centre
This Saturday Chris Miller sets off on his cycle ride to Ben Nevis and back to raise funds for a dedicated Youth Centre in the town. Over the next fortnight he will ride up to Scotland and back, with a break to climb the UK’s highest mountain.
Today his target is to reach Worcester. Let’s hope the wind is on his back.
