There were over 70 entries from entrants who came from not only Whitchurch, but also visitors from as far afield as Basingstoke, Andover and Kingsclere.
The meadow committee supplied special lamb and water mint sausages made by local butcher John Dennett. An historic delicacy appreciated by those who tasted them.
A local baker supplied the finger rolls and Jill at The Gill Nethercott Centre’s Country Market supplied scrumptious cakes which Gillian Anderson served with tea made with spring water.
In all three local traders gained a bit of extra income from a community event.
