The heavy rain and bad weather of last month saw the Whitchurch Festival Procession and Fete sadly postponed, after much hard work had gone into making costumes and arranging entries.

But happily there is now good news and the Festival Chairman Rob Dunlop has confirmed that
“the carnival is set for Saturday September 1st

So mark the date now and dig out those colourful costumes, ready for another great event in the town.

UPDATE – timings and Fete details

The Procession will leave Ardglen at 2.00pm (an hour later than last year) and make it’s way through the town, leading to the Fete at Testbourne School from approx 2:45pm.

The Fete will be on the field but if the weather is poor, Testbourne Sports Hall will be used.

Festival Chairman, Rob says:
“Fingers, and everything else, are crossed that the weather is a little kinder to us this time.”
