Plans for 89 dwellings at land off Bloswood Lane and backing on to Park View are progressing with consideration being given to the Planning Application.
Location: Land south of Bloswood Lane and Groves Orchard, Bloswood Lane, Whitchurch.
Proposal: Erection of 89 residential dwellings, including affordable housing, access and associated open space, landscaping and infrastructure.

Housing numbers
There has been much discussion locally on the availability of ‘Affordable Housing’.
This application by Banner Homes and Bewley Homes includes 36 such dwellings, consisting of:

  • 2 x 1 bed apartments
  • 10 x 2 bed apartments
  • 4 x 2 bed bungalows
  • 16 x 2 bed houses, and
  • 4 x 3 bed houses

Open Market provision is planned as:

  • 9 x 2 bed houses
  • 27 x 3 bed houses
  • 17 x 4 bed houses

Also of particular interest within the site is an area of archeological importance which will be incorporated into open space.

The above proposed development will be considered at the Town Council’s Development Committee on the evening of Monday, 29th April at 7.30 pm, in the Town Hall.
