Whitchurch Town Council is still seeking to co-opt two Councillors to make up the full complement.
Would you be interested in joining the Council?
It can be very rewarding and enjoyable.
The positions run for one year as in 2019 there are full elections so the term is not the usual four years. It is therefore an ideal time for someone who is thinking of the role, but doesn’t wish for a four year commitment.
New members will join the ten existing Councillors who are committed to the preservation and development of the unique character, facilities and varied interests of Whitchurch, on behalf of local residents.
Town Council Meetings are held on Monday evenings, commencing at 7.30pm.
Anyone over the age of 18 may be eligible (regulations apply), so if you are interested please contact the Town Clerk for an application form and further information.
Existing Councillors are also very happy to talk to anyone interested and to explain what the role involves. Just be in touch and someone will fill in the ‘nitty-gritty’.
Visit the Town Clerk at the Town Hall Office during normal opening hours: 9.30–11.30am Monday, Thursday, Friday;
