Road Closed SignThe B3400 through Overton is to be closed this coming week.
The closure is due to the carrying out of urgent BT works.

It is expected the cliosure will be from 19th to 23rd October. Current signage states this will be from 9.00am until 4.00pm each day (that is not on the traffic order so road users should be aware of this.)

The ‘official’ diversion route from Whitchurch to Overton is to use Newbury Road, Cole Henley Road, Kingsclere Road, then the B3051 southwards to Overton.

Stagecoach have stated:

Due to the closure of the High Street in Overton from 19th October for 4 days between 9:30am – 3:15pm the following diversions will be in place.

Service 76 From Whitchurch (Bere Hill) will divert via Newbury Street, Winchester Road, A34 to Bullington, A303, Overton Road, Winchester Street turning right on the B3400.

Service 86x from Hatch Warren @ 09.10 will follow the same diversion route as the service 76.

Service 86 – Will only operate as far as Bere Hill throughout the duration of the works.

Severe delays are expected during this time.
