Local people will have another chance to challenge the decision by Basingstoke & Deane’s Cabinet to increase the number of new homes planned for Whitchurch from 350 to 550.

Councillor Keith Watts has used a Council procedure to “call-in” the decision for scrutiny by the Borough’s Planning and Infrastructure Committee on Thursday 28th March.  “This is the next step in the fight to prevent overdevelopment of Whitchurch” Keith says “several local people came to speak at the Cabinet meeting last month at the last minute.  Please make up your minds now that you will be there and let me know if you are prepared to speak against the extra building and for local decision making through the Neighbourhood Plan.”
