Those who have given their time to help others in our Whitchurch community can be nominated for a ‘Community Award’. This year is an Anniversary – it is the 25th set of Awards to be made since the first in 1994.
A Special 25th Anniverary event for the whole town
This year the Annual Community Awards Presentations will be part of a special afternoon to be held on Sunday 22nd April in the Gill Nethercott Centre.
As well as the Awards there will be displays, presentations and refreshments with a focus on looking to the future. Local groups and organisations are invited to take part (please contact the Town Hall Office) while it is hoped a small party might take place for younger children along with activities for all.
In addition the afternoon will include the presentation of the Town Report from the Town Council as well as an opportunity to meet Councillors and chat over local issues.
Now is the time to make nominations for the Awards.
If you know of someone, or a group of people who, without financial gain and by their selfless actions benefit local individuals, groups or the Community as a whole, please let the Town Council know. Six Awards are made each year as well as a special Youth Award which is given to young people who have achieved or inspired others in the course of their activities.

A short supporting summary of why the Award should be made should be submitted with the Nominations.
