In the spring, EDF announced plans to investigate potential for a 17 turbine wind farm to be located on a site that takes in land south of Whitchurch.

EDF are holding an exhibition to provide updates on their plans.

Members of the project team will be available to provide details of the work undertaken, to answer any questions, and to provide details of what happens next as they take the project forward.

I can’t help thinking this is a waste of time. What exactly does ‘ take the project forward’ mean?. It sounds like decisions have been made, not necessarily in our favour.

If the outcome is being decided by the County then what will truly help the public is to hold a hustings type event with our Councillors and EDF present to answer our questions.

We do not need another open day with pretty pictures and lovely chaps being charming. This is a very serious business and there must be no wriggle room whatsoever for the County or EDF.

The outcome for Whitchuch is potentially disastrous with house sales falling and noise pollution. Personally, I am not against the way they look on the landscape but have yet to be convinced in anyway they work.

I have a bee in my bonnet about this
