The Test Valley Trundle is a cycle ride with a difference – around 15 miles along gentle, rolling terrain around Whitchurch

There are no marshals, signs, hi-viz tabards or waving flags – this is described as a ‘genteel shambles’. Riders are expected to be self-sufficient. There is no need for 27 gears, plastic shoes or police presence, and helmets, although not banned, are discouraged.
It is the perfect opportunity to ride that period or antique cycle.

In keeping with this ethos there is here is just one rule – No lycra.

Departure is from the centre of Whitchurch around 11.00am – and participants can just turn up.

As well as the ride there will be a number of fashion and bicycle-based competitions with awards.

There is no entry fee but donation buckets will be collecting cash for Recycle.org, a charity helping change lives in Africa.
