Street parties have been a tradition in Britain for nearly a century and have been organised to celebrate all sorts of local and national occasions. They are a great way for local residents to come together, for neighbours to get to know each other better and to help build community spirit.
Organising a street party does not have to be a complicated process and this workshop will give anyone interested in planning a party a clear understanding of how to plan for a safe and properly managed event. 2012 is the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics which may be the reason to hold a street party so find out how to organise a celebration.
The session is FREE.
