Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council has to draw up a set of policies and plans that will guide future planning and development decisions in the borough.
This is called the Local Plan.

This is not the Neighbourhood Plan, although that has an imortant part to play in the process.

Eight exhibitions are being held across the borough, including one in Whitchurch on September 17th, to allow for feedback up to Friday 4th October.

For Whitchurch the Local Plan is proposing 350 new houses – 150 to the south of Bloswood Lane and 200 to be determined by the Neighbourhood Plan.

This website may help us to put any ideas we may have into a national context.

I went down to have a look and the first thing that hit me was the presentation that might possibly be understood by someone who can actually read plans.

Most people cannot really understand plans. The are better understood by the sorts of birds that fly high but not Homo sapiens.

So for the 4000 plus residents how many attended and how many can read plans. Public consultation ???
