The Summit Judo Club is offering a free first lesson to youth up to 16 years old on Tuesdays during the 2011/2012 school terms.

Anybody from the age of 5 can take part in Judo with the club. Perhaps you are keen to win a medal, learn to protect yourself or just keep fit? In Judo, you can find something to make a difference in your life.

Coaching trains Judo “players” in the techniques used for basic Judo and competitions — players are encouraged to take part in various competitions held throughout the year.

Judo is a great form of eduction – both physically and mentally. It’s a martial art and an Olympic sport.

The core principles of Judo build life skills through self-discipline and teamwork, which gives players a sense of achievement and self-confidence. Of course, you also benefit from becoming more flexible, with improved balance and coordination.

Lessons are run by the Head Coach Paul Hamilton in the gym at Whitchurch Primary School. The sessions are organised based on age groupings – just pop in! First lesson is free.
