Cycle to school on Thursday July 11th and receive a free Doctor Bike Cycle Safety Check.

Leave your cycle for a free check.

Mums, dads and children who cycle to the Primary School on Thursday July 11th can leave their bikes for a free safety check.

All cycles which are parked in the School Cycle Rack on the morning of July 11th will receive a FREE maintenance check. Brakes, tyres, handlebars and chains will all be checked during the day, and a checklist will be left with each bike for any work that might be required. This can be undertaken by yourself or at a cycle shop of your choice.

Why not leave the car at home and cycle to school?
Avoid the stresses of the school run and enjoy a pleasant ride instead.

This is an ideal opportunity to have childrens’ bikes checked over for the Summer holidays. Parents can also leave their bikes for a free check too, so that families can make sure their bikes are ready to enjoy the wonderful countryside around Whitchurch.

The checks are being carried out by a local qualified cycling instructor from Whitchurch based Hampshire Cycle Training, a non-profit organisaton committed to safer cycling for all:
