Bells and handkerchiefs will be outside the Town Hall on Wednesday evening as Winchester Morris visit to perform their traditional dances. Formed in 1953 they include dances mainly from Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire, as well as a long sword dance from North Skelton in Yorkshire.
Why not pop out and enjoy this traditional truly English pastime (some may say English eccentricity), and enjoy a traditional beer or two at the same time at one of the town’s great pubs.
The plan is to dance at 7.45pm, but times are subject to alteration!
After visiting Whitchurch they move on to dance over the hill in that other place.
