Following some local comment that it is not always known what goes on officially in the town, there is a chance to informally chat over any local matters.

There is also the opportunity to help join in and improve the town, with no obligations.

Town Hall smThe Town Hall will be open with an opportunity to look around, see the heritage and also learn how the Town Council can help you.

Whether its a grumble about pavements or you want to rent an allotment, the Town Hall is the place to be.

Impressive building
The impressive Council Chamber is one of the town’s hidden gems with its large table, Mayor’s seat and gavel, portraits and local history.

As well as being used for Town Council business it can also be used for community meetings and functions.

Why not pop along and have a look?
LOCAL ISSUES:
Are there any that concern you?

As well as having a look around the historic building there will be a chance to discuss the range of responsibilities of the Town Council – from footpaths to recreation grounds, from planning to community awards – and local residents are being urged to come along to chat over any issues that interest them.

Where the matters are not Town Council responsibility advice can be given as to who should be contacted.

A Town Councillor or two will be on hand to help – just be gentle with them as they are all volunteers!
