This is an excellent opportunity to discuss local pub issues over a fine pint of ale.
While real ale is now widely available there are increasing pressures on the pub in our community., ranging from the greed of the PubCos to the Late Night Levy.
Pubs are a central part of the social fabric of our towns and villages, providing places where people meet and socialise, run clubs and societies, and raise funds for charities. They provide employment for a wide range of local people from food suppliers to window cleaners and taxi firms.
CAMRA campaigns at all levels to ensure the pub remains as part of our country’s heritage.
The local group has over 700 members and covers North Hampshire and around 250 pubs.
