Today (Saturday September 8th) is the popular Hampshire Historic Churches Ride and Stride event, now in its 31st year.
Cyclists (and others – walking, running, on horseback, by wheelchair or even skateboard) visit as many local churches as possible to raise funds. The money raised is split between the Hampshire and Islands Historic Churches Trust and a church of the participants own choice.
It is an ideal way to see the local countryside.
In this area alone 24 churches are listed participating, including Whitchurch Baptist Church, All Hallows, Tufton, Freefolk, Lichfield and Hurstbourne Priors
