The Bell Inn

The historic half-timbered Bell Inn is one of the town’s oldest and most traditional pubs. Family-run, with two bars and a separate higher area off the lounge. This can be reserved for small meetings if required. The friendly staff serve a varied selection of home cooked food and four well-kept real ales. The pub attracts a wide clientele and a good conversation on local issues can always be relied upon.  Ask about the ‘wooden nail’. There is pool and darts in the public bar as well as a TV, which does not overpower. There is a pleasant small patio at the rear. Regular drop-in acoustic music sessions and quiz nights are popular features. Open all day, every day. Accommodation available.
The Bell Inn is listed in the 2010 CAMRA Good Beer Guide.
