This impressive historic coaching inn stands proud in the Town Centre catering for all tastes from business traveller to local resident. Under the present owners the pub is a hub of community life with numerous events, live music evenings, quizzes and club meetings all with a very hospitable welcome.
The restaurant serves a varied menu of modern and traditional pub food, including classic dishes as well as continental specialities and good vegetarian range. Breakfasts are served early morning for non residents and cream teas in the afternoons. There is also a range of takeaway food including fish and chips.
For the traveller, accommodation consists of 15 rooms ranging from basic rooms that share a bathroom; large, luxury double rooms with en-suites; and family rooms.
